Our company’s humble beginning started in 1967 when our founder, Jusup Arman, opened an automotive workshop and machinery store in Semarang, Central Java. The business enjoyed rapid growth in its first years, enabling the company to expand to a larger location. In 1977 Laksana created an automotive body manufactory and released its first commercial vehicle minivan, a Mitsubishi T-120. In 1978, the carosery manufactory moved to a larger land in Ungaran to facilitate an even larger production capacity. In the 1990s, Laksana started its journey as a builder of medium-sized vehicles and large buses.
Now, Laksana buses are a common sight in Indonesian cities. Our award-winning Cityline 1,2, and 3 are a big part of the TransJakarta buses, the backbone of Jakarta’s public transportation. Laksana is also trusted by many land developer companies to provide shuttles from the suburban area to Jakarta’s downtown, connecting city workers with their lovely homes in the satellite towns. The company also provides buses for intercity travel, connecting people from the farthest corner of the archipelago to the other.

Our buses are designed to endure heavy rolls and tilts, making it a safe chamber for our passengers and drivers should the unthinkable happen on the road. All of our vehicles have passed the UN ECE-R66 Roll Test and UN ECE R-107 Tilt Test, proving its commitment to safety.
All of our designs have passed the UNE ECE-R80 Seat Strength Test allowing large passenger vehicle seats and their anchorage according to two different test procedures, guaranteeing the safety of the passengers during the worst case scenario.
The bus frames also have gone through anti-rust tests that simulate the harshness of the road, such as dirt, water, and salt spray that examines its resistance towards rust development.
